Firefox improved private browsing mode to New Private Window

In the latest version of Firefox (version 20.0) private browsing feature is improved to New Private Window. In old versions what happens  when we click on private browsing it will open up Firefox in private browsing mode and normal browsing mode were not available. You might thinking what is private browsing:

In private browsing Firefox won’t remember any :

• browser history,
• search history,
• download history,
• web form history,
• cookies, or
• temporary internet files.
• Passwords

Private Browsing gives you control of your personal data by letting you browse the Web without saving any information about which sites and pages you’ve visited. For example you are visiting dating sites, xxx sites :-p, or your girlfriend account and don’t wanted to let your friends know then you can use New Private Window mode; ya i knw you can delete the history but we have to customize the items while deleting and we can’t delete the all history… you know why… 🙂 private mode ensures that nothing has happened and it will remain as it is.

Whats New in New Private Window:

In this new improved private browsing you can open a new private window without closing or interrupting your current browsing session.
To Open Private Browsing Mode in Firefox:

Instead of Tools menu goto File Menu->New Private Window or use shortcut ( Ctrl+Shift+P)

It will open another firefox and notice that here you will see blue Firefox tab-menu at the left top of the Firefox.

Adding sitemap of wordpress blog in google web master tool or yahoo/bing web master tool

Hello Friends…,

Many of us trying to get our blog in google or yahoo or bing search engines. But adding a sitemap to web master tool is only provided for  your site where you can manually add your sitemap or you can automatically generate from http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/. Many of the wordpress plugins provide genrating and adding sitemap to blogs but in wordpress.com we can’t add plugins… adding plugins is possible in wordpress.org.

Today we will see how to add sitemap for wordpress blog in any web master tools like Google webmaster tools or bing/yahoo webmasters tool. Its very easy and simple because we don’t need to do anything. Because wordpress do it all for us. Yes… u hear right… WordPress creates and manage sitemap automatically each time. If you want to check out type your blog address and then sitemap.xml

ex.  https://skcomputerworld.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml 

You will see the sitemap.xml file over there. To add this sitemap to google/yahoo/bing webmaster tools login with your username and password add new and enter your blog address ex. https://skcomputerworld.wordpress.com/ verify it by adding meta tag to wordpress by going Tools-> Available Tools and paste your meta code over their.

After the varification click on sitemap and type following address:

<yourblogaddress>/sitemap.xml

ex. https://skcomputerworld.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml

and yes you are done. It will take some time to index/process all the pages.

 

Another Way:

             Another way is to add your categories on a wordpress page with some description with it. To do that go to categories copy all the categories by selecting all the categories. Before doing this your categories should displayed in list format and not in dropdown. So uncheck display as dropdown option from category widget area. After copying the the categories create a new page and paste it in to it.

And add some description above or below each category, name the page and save it. Rest will done by search engines automatically. It will definitely help you to get your site in search engines.

Google Nose Beta Celebrating April Fool Day…

This is awesome  april fools day ever made by google to me. Actually what happens what I did… I came to office… started lappy… and opened Google Chrome… And first most thing which we all do is to type “google” in address bar and press Ctrl + Enter. Many of us having Google as a default home page. On the page I saw “New! What’s that smell? Find out with Google Nose“. Obviously I am curious to see what exactly the Google Nose is. So opened it in new tab.  It takes me to:

Watched this video:

And Clicked on Try Google Nose Beta…
It shows me some of the options like Vampire, Shampoo, Rainy Day etc. I choose one and select “Smell”

When I click It shows progress bar and says Smell is transmitting. Really I tried lots of times to make my nose close to the screen and smell, actually its first time that I touched my nose to my screen. 🙂 😀 Actually I tried this with my boss saying that Google is launched new project i.e. Google Nose with Beta Version. Boss also tried and said that yes… some smell is coming… Also tried with my colleague Sanket… He also tried hard with his small nose… :-pI tried but I never smelled anything… I assume that there is something problem in my nose… 😀 or may be my method is wrong… then I clicked on help…

Then I come to know that google makes me April Fool at this morning… Weather i should laugh or what i don’t understood… 🙂 because the companies like Google can makes everyting possible… If Google says that they are launching this Google Nose yes we belive without checking the limitations of Technology.  Anyway you instead of thinking to much you should try this perhaps it is april fool… there is always fun in doing some things that are stupid…it brings smile on your face… and it will be the reason for the day to smile…
